SA Events Android app
SA Events is an Android app I wrote that lists the major South African events such as expo's, shows, festivals, concerts, carvinals, cultural events, etc. It is a great way to quickly browse upcoming events and then add them to your calendar with a reminder, so that you don't miss your favorite events.
In May 2013 I re-wrote this app from scratch to make use of the latest Android design guidelines, as well as a new back-end server. It showcases my ability to craft a great app: it has a skinned user interface that can respond to any screen size (in a single APK), has fluid animations even on a low-end device, and uses minimal amounts of data, despite the richness of content it displays.
