PC-SFX is a real-time digital audio signal processing software for a 486 SX33 or higher PC equipped with a Sound Blaster 16 or higher sound card. It makes use of the CPU processor to add digital effects to the audio signals fed into the sound card. It runs in the MS-DOS platform, but may also run under an MSDOS box under Windows, or alternatively, under Linux or Windows using the DOSBOX project
PC-SFX will allow amateur musicians to experiment with various commercially-available effects without having to shell out a fortune to buy any effects pedals or multi-effects processors. It can also be used to make high quality recordings on a good quality HiFi system, or in the studio as a multi-effects processor when one isn't available.
PC-SFX is capable of performing Chorus, Digital Delay, Reverberation, Distortion, Pitch Shifting, Equalization, Noise Gating, and Volume control. PC-SFX allows you to chain the effects in any order you choose, and also allows you to individually modify each of their parameters.
